The Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly Peter Azi has been impeached . 17 voted in favour out of the 24-members of the house. The parliament is dominated by the All Progressives Congress. He has been replaced by Joshua Izang Madaki,a lawyer from Jos East constituency.
Also removed along with him was the Majority Leader, Henry Yunkwap,who represents Shendam constituency, Hon. Nanlong, of Mikang constituency. took over from him
The alleged reason was the recent removal of Local Government Caretaker Committee chairmen.
