All Was Done

 ```READ AND GIVE ME YOUR ANSWER:
A widow mom leaves her house and goes to fetch water, leaving her only child asleep. On her return, she found a large crowd around her burning house.
On the inside, her son is about to die in the fire. Throwing her bowl of water on the floor, and crying, she wants to get into the burning house to look for her son. Everyone keeps saying, "You're going to die too, fire is very great." Escaping from their hands, she enters the fire and wrapped her son in a blanket.
The child, tight against her breast, is not touched by the fire. Mummy comes out severely burnt and is only narrowly saved; thanks to the care of the hospital, but she lives with scars and unrecognizable.
Many years passed. The child, under the guidance of his mother, completed his studies and was appointed minister. He organized a party at his villa on his appointment, and invited all the dignitaries of the city and his friends.
While they were in full party, noises were heard at the door of the entrance to the villa. The son was forced to go and resolve the situation. He found that the security officers were preventing his mother from joining the party. He had not invited her but she also wanted to join the party. Faced with this situation in front of his guests, he said tenderly to his mother: "Please, Mom, I would be ashamed to have you appear before my friends. We can discuss later. " And in secret, he ordered the security services to throw out his mother because of her scars ...❕
What inspires you in this story? This woman represents *Jesus Christ* who sacrificed himself for you and I.
Today, what place do you give him in your life❓ It is He who has received the scars because of you and me. If you are ashamed of Him, keep this message and don't  send it to anyone. If you are not ashamed of the scars of Jesus Christ, if you have received Him as your  Lord and Savior in your heart, convey this message to twelve persons. ✉
Jesus Christ tells us in Mark 8, 38: "... For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the Holy angels. "✨ πŸ‘ You still have time to tell at least 12 people that Jesus loves them. As for me, I started this mission with you.
Psalm 126. God asked me to tell you: That everything will be alright from now on... You're to be victorious and will achieve all your goals. Today, Jesus  Christ visited your home. On his way out, he took all your problems with him. Do me a favor. Trust God and share this message with twelve friends of yours , do not ignore and watch in 4 minutes, you will receive a very nice news. It cost nothing to share.```
The Importance Of Keeping Your Legs Strong
 *KEEP YOUR LEGS STRONG*
The Importance of keeping our legs strong.
When we are old, our feet must always remain strong.
When an old man ages, he is less afraid of his hair turning white or that his skin is sagging or wrinkled.
Among the signs of longevity summarized by the US magazine "Prevention", "strong leg muscles" are listed in the top order.
Do not move for two weeks, and your leg strength decreases by 40 years.
A study from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark found that in both old and young, during the two weeks of inactivity, leg muscle strength weakened by a third, which is equivalent to 40-50 years of age.
As the leg muscles weaken, it will take a long time to recover, even if you do rehabilitation later.
Therefore, regular exercise is very important.
The whole body pressure is on the legs.
1. The foot is the pillar of the burden of the human body.
50% of a person's bones and 50% of the muscles are in the two legs, the largest and strongest joints and bones of the human body are also in it.
Strong bones, strong muscles, and flexible joints form the iron triangle that carries the most important load on the human body."
70% of the activity and expenditure of energy in one's life is done with both feet.
Did you know that when a person is young, his thighs can support a car?
2. The foot is the center of body transport.
Both legs have
50% of the nerves of the human body,
50% of the blood vessels, and
50% of the blood flowing through them.
It is this large circulatory network that connects the body.
Only with healthy feet does the conduction channel run smoothly.
Hence people who have strong leg muscles will definitely have a strong heart.
 3. Ageing starts from the feet.
As a person gets older, the accuracy and speed of instruction transmission between the legs and the brain decreases, unlike when they were young.
In addition, the so-called "bone-fertilizing" calcium in the bones will sooner or later be lost, making the elderly more prone to fractures.
Fractures in the elderly easily trigger a series of diseases, especially fatal diseases such as brain thrombosis.
Do you know 15% patients even die within a year of a fracture ?
Exercise your legs everyday.
It's never too late. Though our feet will gradually age, exercising our feet is a lifelong task. It's only by strengthening the legs, can one prevent further ageing. To do this, walk! Stroll around town rather than ride your car or bike as often as it's possible; and in safe areas.
Forwarded as received with great concern and safety for all, especially the ageing people.
SOCIAL WAYS OF COMMUNICATION
 *CIVIL WAYS TO COMMUNICATE*
1. Instead of saying you are lying, say *THIS IS NOT TRUE*
2. Instead of saying, this post is fake say *ARE YOU SURE OF THIS?*
3. Instead of saying, you are wrong say *THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE*
4. Instead of saying, you will be punished say *THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES TO THIS*
5. Instead of saying, I am talking and you are not paying attention say *I WILL LIKE TO GET YOUR ATTENTION*
6. Instead of saying I don't have your time say *I WILL LIKE TO END THE CONVERSATION NOW*
7. Instead of saying what you are saying does not make sense say *IS THERE ANY OTHER OPTION THAN THIS?*
8. Instead of saying what you are doing is bad say *THIS BEHAVIOR IS INAPPROPRIATE*
9.Instead of saying this child is a slow learner say *THIS CHILD IS AN UPCOMING LEARNER*
10. Instead of saying " get out from here" say *PLEASE IT WILL BE APPRECIATED YOU LEAVE THIS PLACE.*
 *SOME SOCIAL RULES THAT MAY HELP YOU:*
1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to;
2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the other person remembers lending it to you. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes;
3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner. If possible ask them to order their choice of food for you;
4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem;
5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior.  You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public;
6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time;
7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative;
8. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all;
9. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again. It encourages one to do more and it shows how appreciative you're;
10. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you.
11. Praise publicly. Criticize privately;
12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will;
13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next;
14. If a colleague tells you they have a doctors' appointment, don’t ask what it’s for, just say "I hope you’re okay". Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. If they want you to know, they'll do so without your inquisitiveness;
15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect;
16. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude;
17. Never give advice until you’re asked;
18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary;
19. Mind your  business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it;
20. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech; and
WORDS ON A MARBLE
 *WORDS ON MARBLE*
 *"I tasted all that is sweet, but I found nothing sweeter than good health. And I tasted all that was bitter, but nothing was more bitter than being in need of good people. And I carried both, iron, and rocks, but nothing was heavier than debt. I discovered therefore that life is comprised only of two days: A day for you and a day against you! So when it is for you, be not reckless;  and when it is against you,  be patient.  Because both days will expire!!*
*If you can't be a bridge  to connect people, then don't be a wall to separate them. If you can't be a light to brighten people's good deeds then don't be darkness covering their efforts. If you can't be the water to help people's crops sprout, then don't be a pest destroying their crops. If you can't be a vaccine to give life, don't be a virus to terminate it. If you can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove their sadness.* *We can only be each others keeper*.
WORDS OF ADVICE
 TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT AND UNNECESSARY PRESSURE IN LIFE REMEMBER THESE  WORDS OF ADVICE
1. Put your kids in
    schools you can afford
    because expensive
    schools don't
    guarantee good
    results. Just ensure
    they attend a good
    affordable school
2. Rent apartments you
    can pay for
    conveniently. Don’t live
    in a house you struggle
    to pay yearly. If your 1 or 2
    month salary or biz profit
    can't pay for your
    accommodation, that
    accommodation is not for
    your level.
3. A man whose wife is
    pregnant has good 9
    months to prepare,
    same as the pregnant
    woman in question.
    They should even plan
    for the worse and only
    seek help when they
    can’t meet up.
4. Some problems in our
    lives don’t just pop up,
    if you don't own a
    home, we knew we
    would pay rents...So its
    not an emergency.
5. Let’s plan our lives and
    live within our means.
    Save more and spend
    less and Invest wisely.
    Never invest in something
    that will make you rich
    overnight. No seed grows
    to a tree overnight and
    provide fruits, not even
    tomatoes πŸ….
6. Some women buy food
    for their children every
    morning before going
    to school or even for
    the whole family, do
    you know it’s cheaper
    to cook at home?
7. Some people don’t
    earn much, but have
    DSTV at home, go for
    GOTV and upgrade
    when your income
    upgrades. It’s still the
    same CNN anyway!
    Besides, most people pay
    for cable subscription they
    don't have light or time to
    watch.
8. Eat healthy meals and
    protect your family
    from mosquitoes to
    avoid going to the
    hospital always. Sleep
    under mosquito treated
    net, saves you cost of
     treatment on malaria.
9. Take advantage of
    food and fruits in
    season, its cheaper
    and you can be
    creative to create
    amazing meals. Every fruit
    in each season is meant to
    help your body fight
    sickness or health
    challenges in that season.
10.Don’t copy your
     neighbor’s lifestyle,
     she earns well and her
     husband is a ‘big
     man’*
11. Don’t follow trends,
       wear clean well-
       ironed clothes and
       keep your hair neat.
       You would still look
       good.
12. Keep your circle
       small, keep only
       friends that have
       senses!
13. Above all things, have
      the fear of God, have
      integrity, be prayerful and don’t be lazy.
14. Planning is the key, if
       you fail to plan, you
       plan to FAIL.
15. Don't do more than
      your budget this
      year, there is no
      award given to best
      family that wore an
      expensive cloth for
      the year🀷🏻‍♂.
16.Don't be in
     competition with
     anyone...
     The purpose of shoes
     and clothes are to cover our nakedness,
     make us smart and
     good.
LEARN,UNLEARN AND RELEARN
 ```There was a time when all you needed to succeed was the ability to read and write English.

After that came the era of a university degree. In fact, you had the chance of getting a good job with a good salary.

Then came the era of Masters and Ph.D. The demands of the Labour market went higher. You had to have a master's or Ph.D. to get a good job.

Before long it became the era of foreign degrees... employers started looking for people from foreign universities.

Now that era has ended: We are now in the era of skills. What you know and what you can do with your brain or your hands. Your level of education notwithstanding; what matters right now is the skills that you have especially new age/digital skills.

So I ask you, what are you doing to remain relevant in this season? ✍🏼✍🏼

Are you still carrying your certificate up and down with obsolete knowledge?πŸ€”πŸ€”

Or you are still blaming the government that is not even aware of your existence?😒😒

Do you even understand that "WORK" as we knew it ten years back has changed?

Are you aware that by 2025, machines and robots would have cleaned out 800,000 jobs and new market demands will evolve?

Are you preparing for the future of work or you will cross that bridge when you get there?

It will be in your best interest to start to UNLEARN, LEARN, AND RELEARN.

Invest in yourself, upgrade on a daily basis.

Pay the price.

You can't afford the price of ignorance and poverty. It's too expensive!🎯🎯```

*Help realign the priorities of those you love including your kids so that they remain relevant during their era by exposing them to profitable skills side by side the normal classroom education.*

 πŸš’ *HOW TO CLEAN KIDNEYS WITHOUT PAIN -  GOOD FOR ALL AGES*

How To Clean Your Kidney

Clean your kidneys.

The years go by and our kidneys always filter the blood, eliminating salt, poison and all that is harmful in our system. Over time, salt accumulates and requires cleaning treatment.

How to get rid of this?

It is very easy, first take a bunch Scent leaves  ''Ewe Efinrin'' in Yoruba language. (Nchuanwu in Igbo language) and wash well, then cut into small pieces and put in a saucepan and add clean water (1 liter). Boil for ten minutes, cool, filter into a clean bottle and refrigerate.

Drink one cup a day and you will see that all the salt and poison accumulated in your kidneys begin to appear when you urinate.

_This is recognized as the best cleansing treatment for the kidneys and it's natural! _

_Please send it to all your friends! _

*Note:*

_Do not save this message, send it now to other groups that you belong to. _

_It is for your good and that of others, giving somebody relief is always rewarding.

THE WAY NAMES SHOULD BE MENTIONED OR WRITTEN

There is something strange about the way many people who are below 30 years introduce themselves in speech and in writing these days. During an interview for a job or other issues, if you ask the interviewees to introduce themselves, you would most likely hear something like: “My names are Balogun John.”

 The first strange issue is that of one person saying “my names are”, implying that the person has many personalities or identities. Only people with a shady character have many identities. The second issue is that of saying the surname first and saying the first name last, thereby confusing the listener.

 The challenge these days is that when one hears or sees a name, one cannot easily know which is the first name or surname. For those whose names contain names that are regarded as traditional surnames, it may be easier to decipher which is the surname, but for some other people, it may not be easy. Imagine a young man whose name is Ikenna Chukwuemeka or Ayodele Olayinka or Hassan Musa or John Emmanuel introducing himself this way. For you to ascertain which is his first name or surname, you have to ask him to clarify that. But it is not all the time that someone has the opportunity to ask the owner of a name to make this type of distinction. That is why a standard way of writing one’s name was developed a long time.

When you write your name, which should come first: Surname or first name? The answer is evident. Your given name is called your first name. It should always come first.

 Question: “What is your name?”

Answer: “My name is Azuka Onwuka,” not “My name is Onwuka Azuka.”

 Your surname or family name is also called “last name,” because it is meant to come last. If you write a book or publish an article in a newspaper, your first name or initials come first while your surname or last name comes last.

 Remember that you grew up hearing of William Shakespeare (not Shakespeare William), Chinua Achebe (not Achebe Chinua), Wole Soyinka (not Soyinka Wole), Nnamdi Azikiwe (not Azikiwe Nnamdi), Florence Nightingale (not Nightingale Florence) Abraham Lincoln (not Lincoln Abraham), Dele Giwa (not Giwa Dele), Diego Maradona (not Maradona Diego), Michael Jackson (not Jackson Michael), James Bond (not Bond James), etc.

 However, when names are written alphabetically on a school list, bibliography, voter register, recruitment list, etc, the surname may be written first by those compiling the list, to make it easy to locate people’s names. But note that whenever the surname comes first, something MUST happen: a comma must come after the surname, or the surname must be in uppercase.

Example:

Abdulsalam, Ahmed Sanni

Balogun, Temitope Yinka

Onwuka, Azuka P. I.

Osagie, Aifuwa Omoh

Yala, Pam Dalong

 Or

 ADAM John Thomas

BENSON Jane Mary

CLINTON Robert Peter.

The trend among those who are under 30 to always introduce themselves or write their names with the surname first is queer. First name is called first name because it is meant to come first.

 Based on which is your surname, someone will know how to address you officially. If you introduce yourself as Rashidi Yekini, the person can then address you as Mr Yekini, not Mr Rashidi. When only one name is used with your title, it has to be with your surname, not your first name: Mr Onwuka, Miss Akpabio, Mrs Jonathan, Alhaji Jakande, Professor Usman, Chief Lar, etc.

Furthermore, on the issue of whether to say: “My name is Azuka Onwuka” or “My names are Azuka Onwuka”, let it be reiterated that each human being has only ONE name.

 Please take a look at these two expressions:

Edson Arantes do Nascimento

Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga

 The first is the real name of the great footballer Pele of Brazil. The second is the full name of the former president of Congo when it was known as Zaire. However, in spite of the length of the names, each of them is ONE name. Pele has ONE name and Mobutu has ONE name.

You should never ask someone: “What are your names?” And you should never tell someone: “My names are….” You are one person, not two or more people.

 Yes, like most people, you may have a number of identifiers under your name, but they all form a unit known as your name. You can break them down into first name (or given name), middle name (second name), third name, fourth name, and surname (or family name or last name). But you only have ONE name and nothing more.

Some factors have made this issue of writing the surname first prevalent now. The first reason is the practice of emphasising the surname in schools. It has always been the practice that teachers address their students by their surname: “Onwuka, come here. Where is Akpabio?” But based on the feedback I have received from my probe into the matter, many teachers these names specifically teach their students to introduce themselves with their surname first.

 The second reason is that even when teachers have not expressly told their students to always write their surname first, they have not clearly made the students to understand that outside the school environment, they should introduce themselves first with their first name. There is no distinction made about how one should write one’s name when filling a form and when introducing oneself.

There is also the factor of the rise of the Internet. There is a rise in the number of places where one can fill one’s details online. There are email accounts to create, social media accounts to create, and different websites to register with for one thing or the other. In addition, the banks also lay emphasis on surnames in the opening of accounts and issuing of the ATM cards. Agencies that provide identification documents like the passport, driving licence, voter card, national identity card and company’s identification cards lay emphasis on the surname too.

However, in spite of all the challenges in the environment on the issue of the order of names, the first name still remains the first name, while the surname still remains the surname. If any institution requires the surname to be written first while filling a form, give it to them in that format. But do not let that confuse you to introduce yourself or have your name displayed on your social media platforms with your surname before your first name, unless you clearly mark the surname off with a comma. That is the standard way. In addition, even though you may have a first name, a middle name and surname, you have only one name. Therefore, you should not ask someone: “What are your names?” or introduce yourself with: “My names are ….”

These issues should be taken seriously by teachers from the primary school to the university, because when it comes to learning, teachers wield the biggest influence on children. To most children, whatever their teachers say is right is what is right.

Reasons To Vote Trump Again

 Obama the worse thing that happened to us -

#THEWILLOFGOD - DONALD J. TRUMP.

Donald J. Trump - says a lot of wrong things, but God uses anyone; in the scriptures, the Lord used animals, heathen Kings, etc to bring about His will.

Many supported Obama 8 years ago as the First Black President, but the things he has done against Christianity and Morality are deeply astonishing in History:

*Christian bakeries in U.S have been closed down by judges appointed by Obama for refusing to bake cakes for homosexual marriages*

*People have been told to stop saying Happy Christmas and to say happy holidays because Obama believes that the Christ in Christmas offends none Christians in a country where about 80% are Christians.*

*Obama has withdrawn money meant for the education of children from schools that have refused to allow boys and girls to use the same bathrooms and toilets.*

*Obama ordered Chaplains in US army to stop using the Name of Jesus during funerals.*

*Christian companies have been forced to employ homosexuals by Obama judges*

*laws have been made that allows 15 years old children to have a sex change operation without parental consent.*

*The Bible has been removed from the beds of US Christian soldiers by Presidential order*

*Did nothing for Africa and actually punished African Countries with funds withdrawal because of our broad dislike for homosexuality.*

*He sanctioned Nigeria because President Jonathan signed a bill against homosexuality.*

*He refused to visit his father’s country of Kenya because President Uhuru Kenyata is against homosexuality – he only visited Kenya last year; 7 years into his presidency so that it will not be on record that he never visited his fatherland as President, and when he visited, he tried to get President Kenyata to legalize homosexual marriage in secret.*

Hillary Clinton – supports everything Obama does.

Hillary would have continued all of Obama’s policies against Followers of Christ.

Many people like her because she is a woman and would have become the first female President just as we supported Obama when we saw he could become the first Black President.

*America is the most influential country in the world: once Obama came out to endorse homosexual marriage 4 years ago – the Prime Minister of Britain and the President of France did the same thing within weeks.*

According to Trump’s son, one of the things that his father rarely gets credit for, is the way he raised them:

*“How many children of billionaires turn out like us – no drugs, no alcohol, no tattoos, very responsible”.* Trump Jr.

Clinton ran for the office to protect Obama’s legacy.

*Jesus said “He or she that is not for us, is against us”.*

Please, let's support President DONALD J TRUMP with our prayers and love from within and far, that he may accomplish:

*THE WILL OF GOD.*

DONALD'S VICTORY ...

A VICTORY FOR THE CHURCH!

A VICTORY FOR THE KINGDOM!

A VICTORY FOR MISSIONS!

Thank God, who has not left his heritage, the church at a time like this

Thank God, who has heard the silent cries and prayers of the global intercessors for the American church

Thank God, who has not left the church

Who has not left the church at the mercy of abortionists

Who has not left the church at the mercy of gays

Who has not left the church at the mercy of lesbians

Who has not left the church at the mercy of transgenders

Who has not left the church at the mercy of bestials

Who has not left the church at the mercy of the terrorists

By this victory, the agenda to run over America with Islam b4 year 2050 has just suffered a terrible blow and huge setback

The plan to declare Eid el Kabir holiday by 2050 has just suffered a huge setback

The plan to create unisex bathrooms all over America like they did during Democrat Convention has just suffered a setback

The plan to plant public masturbation centres all over America has just suffered a terrible setback

The plan to spread the law approving permitting sex between animals and humans has just suffered a setback

Thank God who has not left his heritage to the Sanbalat and Tobiahs who are bent to run over the walls of Jerusalem on the basis of political correctness

Thank you Lord for this victory for a Cyrus that will hasten the exit of the Tobiahs and rebuilding of the broken walls of American church

May God grant President Donald Trump the political will to effect all these and many more for revival and restoration in Jesus name

Thank you Jesus!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

God bless America!!!

Please forward this message at least once. I JUST DID TO YOU.

 _The death of Maikanti Baru, former Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation_ , makes it necessary *to review the top 20 positions in the corporation.*
A review of the top 20 executive positions in the corporation reads like a Northern Nigeria Petroleum Company. The all-Muslim top 20 executives in NNPC makes Nigeria look like an annex of Arab Emirates.

Only three top positions were allotted to the entire Southern Nigeria. What happened to federal character? What’s the job of the Federal Character Commission? Do we have a National Assembly? What the hell is wrong with the members of National Assembly? Where’s the Senate oversight committee on NNPC? Where are the activists? The North produces nothing and contributes zero revenue to the central purse in Abuja. Yet, the North gulps 99 per cent of the revenue
Nepotism results in bias, unfair treatment, and exclusion of others. Nepotism has been the practice of presidents of Northern extraction, Fulanising the rank and file of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation. All federal establishments such as the military,( 80% of the Rank and 67% of the Officer Cadre are Northerners), judiciary, security agencies, immigration, customs, ports authority, railways, prisons, NTA, NAN, aviation, ministries, name it, are bedevilled by nepotism.
Without justice, Nigeria and Nigerians will never know peace, progress, and prosperity. Without justice, forget about one Nigeria. It is the blatant injustices – alienation, exclusion, discrimination, marginalization, suppression, and oppression – that fuel the agitation for Oduduwa Republic and Biafra, and other separatist  groups!!

Men Of Gold Don't Always Wear Gold

Men of gold don't wear gold. By Sam Adeleke!

 ‎
Yesterday I had to visit somewhere and it was raining so I did not want to drive there since I was not too familiar with the road, so I parked my car somewhere close and used a keke (local tricycle).

While I was there I got a call from a long time friend reminding me of my promise to her husband over a job, so I quickly told her my location, and asked her to tell her husband to meet me up ASAP since I will be leaving town soon, but I told her to tell her husband to meet me up where I packed my car since that place was a popular land mark .

I don’t know her husband and we have never met before. As I sent her the address, she called me back and was so excited that I was even around her area which will make it easy for him because he did not even have transport to come out,things was that bad. So I told her that he should pick a drop and I will pay.

In other not to keep him stranded I had to start rushing back to where I packed my car. God, I even entered under the rain, cold, just to meet up with him so he will not be stranded. As I was walking under the rain I saw a keke and stopped it. The keke man asked me to beg the man inside, so I started begging. The man refused and said I was wet. I told him I will sit one side, and he refused, saying except I pay for both his fare and mine.

I agreed, then he allowed me. As I entered this man kept me uncomfortable, saying if my wet clothes touch him again I will get down. I just kept my cool until I finally got to my destination. I did not even reach until I stopped at the junction and paid then used my legs to walk to my car, since it was very close.

I was inside my car warming myself, then I got a call from my friend saying her husband was around, so I described my car and he came. I saw someone knocked on my car glass, wound down and it was this same man in a keke with me. Gosh!

I was suppose to pay the keke man, and recommend him for a job? Tears rolled down my eyes, I brought out N3,000, gave him, started my car and zoomed off. My friend has been calling and sending me messages, I had to block her. Be careful, many times men of gold don’t wear gold. Be nice.

English Language: Narrative Essay

A mode of expository writing, the narrative approach, more than any other, offers writers a chance to think and write about themselves.

 In a narrative essay, you tell a story, often about a personal experience, but you also make a point. So, the purpose is not only to tell an entertaining tale, but also to expound on the importance of the experience

 Since a narrative relies on personal experiences, it often is in the form of a story. When the writer uses this technique, he or she must be sure to include all the conventions of storytelling: plot, character, setting, climax, and ending. It is usually filled with details that are carefully selected to explain, support, or embellish the story. All of the details relate to the main point the writer is attempting to make.: To summarize, the narrative essay

1) is told from a particular point of view.
2) makes and supports a point.
3) is filled with precise details.
4) uses vivid verbs and modifiers.
5) uses conflict and sequence as does any story.
6) may use dialogue.

English Language: Summary Writing

Clarity*:Complex words and syntax are a hindrance to clarity and should be avoided. Ideas should be clearly distributed between sentences and paragraphs.

Don’t describe each and every one of your own movements*

Avoid the second-person narrative* :
An important part of the narrative essay is the fact that the writer experienced the events described.

To interest the reader, dynamic word choice is key* :
Avoid sounding too clinical. Use the same slang, idiom, and turns of phrase you would use in speech. Avoid passive constructions.

 Limit references.
Assignment : write a story that ends in " If I had known, I would have listened to my mother" .

Stay pure anyway.
*#Sad, But True!*

3. No matter how humble you are, somebody will still consider you proud. Stay humble, anyway.
*#Sad, But True!*

4. No matter how generous you are, somebody will still call you "selfish". Remain generous, anyway.
*#Sad, But True!*

11. Tough as it seems, any evil done against you can become a seed for your promotion... It depends on your response.
*#Sad, But True!*

12. I would rather appear foolish now and see the wisdom of the Almighty God unfold, than appear wise now and turn out a fool later.
*#Sad, But True!*

13. Promotion doesn't come by fighting for your rights but by being faithful in doing what is right.
*#Sad, But True!*

14. Those who will enjoy true promotion by the Almighty must be willing to forgive freely, forgive quickly and forgive wholly.

15. Those who will relish true promotion must be willing to serve many for free and selflessly.

*#Sad, But True!*

29. Your ability to overlook an offence determines the degree of dominion you'd exercise over many other things. *#Sad, But True!*

30. Wisdom will help you solve problems. A large heart will help you accommodate people. You need both.
*#Sad, But True!*

Professionalism Even In Crime

During a robbery in Guangzhou, China, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: "Don't move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you."

Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called "Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.

When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: "Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!"

This is called "Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): "Big brother, let's count how much we got."

The older robber rebutted and said: "You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"

This is called "Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: "Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.

This is called "Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!

The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month."

This is called "Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.

The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: "We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!"

This is called "Knowledge is worth as much as gold!"

The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery.

This is called "Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks!

So who are the real robbers here?

An Address By Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu On The Commemoration Of The Democracy Day

Theme: GREAT LEAP TOWARDS A GREATER LAGOS

BEING AN ADDRESS BY MR. BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWO-OLU, GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE, ON THE COMMEMORATION OF HIS ADMINISTRATION’S FIRST YEAR IN OFFICE, ON FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2020.

Fellow Lagosians,

1. On Saturday, March 9, 2019, you demonstrated great confidence in me and in our great party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, by overwhelmingly electing me as the 15th Governor of our dear State.

2. For me, it remains a humbling privilege to be the leader of a government that you freely and massively elected into office. I remain truly grateful for your trust and confidence.

3. You will recall that in my acceptance speech, I told you, dear Lagosians, that while the victory may bear my name, because it must bear a name, it actually belongs to you.

4. One year on, that view has not changed. This government is and will continue to be for you and about you; about your welfare, and our collective future.

5. Good people of Lagos, in my inauguration address, I promised you a ‘Greater Lagos’. Today, on the first anniversary of that inauguration, it is my pleasure to brief you about the progress we have made in the journey towards a ‘Greater Lagos’, using the THEMES agenda as our vehicle.

6. As you are aware, Traffic Management and Transportation is the first leg of our THEMES Agenda. Considering the pivotal role of transportation as a major driver of socio-economic activities, our goal is to develop a reliable intermodal system of transportation.

7. Consequently, we are investing in waterways and a light rail system as long overdue alternatives to our roads. On February 4th, 2020, we made a giant leap in our resolve to develop an integrated transport system by officially commissioning eight new, state-of-the-art ferries, to kick-start our expansion of the LAGFERRY Service.

8. Since then we have seen a remarkable increase in the number of commuters on our waterways.

9. Similarly, with the successful completion of the elevated sea-crossing track of the Blue Line Mass transit project, at Marina, Lagos, late last year, construction work has begun on the final phase of the scheme. The project is critical to the achievement of our vision for intermodal transport.

10. Dear Lagosians, I am also pleased to inform you that the plan to construct the 4th Mainland Bridge is equally on course. Recently, we shortlisted eight out of the over 30 firms that expressed interest in the project. In the coming weeks and months, you will certainly hear more on this all-important project.

11. We are also working to make our roads better. Several roads have been rehabilitated while others are at various stages of completion. The Oshodi-Abule- Egba BRT Corridor, the Pen Cinema Bridge, the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, the Agric-Ishawo Road and the four junctions’ improvement projects at Allen Avenue, Maryland, Ikotun and Lekki among others would soon all be ready for public use.

12. A major highlight of our intervention in roads was the commissioning of a network of 31 roads at Ojokoro area in December 2019.

13. We are not resting on our oars; more completed projects are slated for commissioning in the coming days. These include: The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) for our Bus Reform Scheme at Ikeja and Oshodi Bus Terminals; The Oshodi Abule-Egba BRT Corridor; Oyingbo Bus Terminal; Concrete Jetty with Shoreline Protection and Waiting Shelter at Baiyeku, Ikorodu LGA; Fadipe/Salami/Eyiowuawi/Odubanjo Streets in Shomolu LGA; Alhaji Akinwunmi Street in Mushin LGA; and Adagun-Imeke-Iworo-Ajido-Epeme Road in Badagry LGA.

14. I must express my satisfaction with the quality and progress of work on the transport infrastructure projects across the State. I urge the good people of Lagos to remain patient as we work to complete all of them to give you a better motoring and commuting experience.

15. On traffic management, we recruited and inducted 1,017 LASTMA officers to achieve better flow of traffic and reduction in travel time.

16. In order to sustain current momentum in the public transportation sphere, we ask for the cooperation of every resident of the State, especially in obeying Traffic Laws, for our collective good.

17. Fellow Lagosians, without a doubt, in the last 365 days, so much has happened in our State that we must be proud and thankful for.

18. In the area of unhindered access to healthcare – which is the second pillar of our Agenda – we have commissioned two Mother and Child Centers (MCCs) at Eti-Osa and Igando respectively. In the next couple of weeks, the Badagry and Epe MCCs will also be ready for public use.

19. For us, nothing should be spared to give Lagosians quality health care. The compassionate side of our government can best be captured by understanding the life-changing impact of the free medical interventions we have undertaken and continue to undertake to bring succour to ailing residents.

20. In our first 200 days in office, the Lagos State Government, working in collaboration with the BOSKOH Health Mission International and the Benjamin Olowojebutu Foundation, delivered diverse free medical interventions to over 250,000 Lagosians across several locations in the State.

21. Closely linked to Healthcare, for us, is the state of the Environment. This is why we are working hard to ensure a flood-free Lagos. We have carried out extensive dredging and disiliting on many drain channels across the State, and we will continue to do this even as the rainy season intensifies.

22. In the area of Education, our Third Pillar, our investment in revamping and upgrading infrastructure in the sector continues with the following completed projects ready for commissioning: 18 Classroom Blocks at Muslim Junior College, Egbe, 18 Classroom Blocks at Maya Secondary School, Ikorodu, 18 Classroom Blocks at Eva Adelaja Junior Secondary School, Bariga, Block of 20 Classrooms at Bashua Military School Primary School, Shomolu, 13 Classrooms at Saviour Primary School, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, Block of 20 Classrooms at Ayanleye Memorial Primary School, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA and Block of 6 Classrooms at Ansar Ur Deen, Ibonwon, Epe.

23. Similarly, we have equally made remarkable inroad in the training of teachers for 21st century competence. Through the EKO EXCEL training initiative, 3000 primary school teachers have been trained on how to competently utilize technology in teaching, for better educational outcomes for our children.

24. The results have been amazing. Enrolment rates into our public primary schools have risen, while attendance rates have also improved remarkably. I have visited some of our public schools to see EKO EXCEL at work, and I am happy to report that we are on a transformative journey in public education in Lagos State.

25. Next is Technology. With the current trend in the globe, we are also keen on making Lagos the fortress of digital enterprise, an urban hub of technology-driven creativity, innovation and commerce, which in turn becomes a magnet for domestic and foreign investment.

26. To this end we have set up the Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC), with start-up funds in excess of $600,000, to drive investment in research and development of tech-focused solutions across the six pillars of our administration’s THEMES agenda.

27. With this structure in place, tech start-ups and young innovators in the State now have the opportunity and available funding to push their entrepreneurial skills to the next level.

28. Dear Lagosians, the Greater Lagos we promise you is a Megacity that is fully and confidently a 21st century economy. This is the thinking that has propelled us to sign a $629 million financing facility aimed at completing the Lekki Deep Seaport project. When that project is completed, Lagos will have one of the most modern and capable Ports not just in Africa but in the world.

29. It will stimulate the local, national and regional economies, and earn a well-deserved place as a container transportation hub in Africa.

30. A 21st century economy is one that is capable of meeting the housing needs of its people. In the area of housing, four major housing projects are now ready for commissioning. They are:

a. LagosHoms, Igbogbo Scheme with 360 home units comprising 120 1-bedroom, 120 2-bedroom and 120 3-bedroom apartments;

b. Lagos State Affordable Public Housing Scheme, Topo, Badagry with 252 2-bedroom apartments;

c. Courtland Villas, Behind Alhaji Femi Okunnu Estate, Igbohushu, Lekki with 120 units of 4-bedroom Maisonettes and BQs; and

d. Lekki Apartments, Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki.

31. On January 30, 2020, we handed over apartment keys to 492 beneficiaries of our administration’s maiden rent-to-own housing scheme at the Lateef Kayode Jakande Housing Estate, Igando. It was, indeed, a joyous moment not only for the beneficiaries, but for me as well.

32. More housing schemes will be delivered in the coming months. We are very excited about our housing schemes because not only do they provide homes to people, they also create jobs for multitudes of people who work as artisans, tradesmen and labourers on these projects. This fully ties in with our commitment to resuscitate excellent craftsmanship by making opportunities available for people to be trained and to demonstrate their training.

33. In the area of agriculture and food security, we have done so much, with initiatives such as the Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support Project (APPEALS) which is designed to build the capacities of actors in the Rice, Aquaculture and Poultry Value Chains, enabling them to become large scale producers and processors of rice, fish, eggs, and poultry. When the Imota Rice Mill is completed at the end of this year, it will be a game-changing addition to Nigeria’s ongoing rice revolution.

34. Being the smallest State in Nigeria, we may not have the land potential that other States have, but that will not stop us from maximizing the development of what we have as well as the full development of our great potential as a processing hub with ready access to the largest market in West Africa.

35. We are also strengthening the capacity of our farmers through the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP), the Sea Food Festival and the Eko City Farmers Food Market. The provision of extension services to farmers is also a priority.

36. The final pillar of our Agenda, is Security and Governance. Our goal is Transformational Security, using Technology. We are revamping our Security Command-and-Control Center, and investing heavily in security cameras and improved data-gathering and processing, to stay permanently ahead of crime and criminality.

37. By this, we are sending a strong message of deterrence to all potential criminals. The Lagos State Security Trust Fund will continue to be the arrowhead of our interventions in security in Lagos State.

38. We are also partnering with neighbouring States, and one important step in this regard is the establishment of the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), which has been codenamed ‘Operation Amotekun’. You will begin to see the full operationalization of the scheme in the coming months.

39. Dear Lagosians, the future, no doubt, looks bright. We are taking sure and steady steps towards the realization of the ‘Greater Lagos’ of our aspirations.

40. While we are not yet where we want to be, it is clear that we are not where we used to be. We must use the successes we have recorded in the last one year, to inspire us to even greater collective effort to make life better for all of us.

41. And as we make progress in our quest for a ‘Greater Lagos’, certainly more challenges lie ahead. Of what essence is life without obstacles? Which leads me to the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, already described as the most disruptive occurrence of our lifetime.

42. It has been a very challenging period, for all of us: Government, businesses, offices, schools, places of worship, and citizens. Lagos State remains the epicenter of the pandemic in Nigeria. We are still seeing an increase in infection figures, and this trend is likely to continue for a while longer, before we are able to succeed in flattening the curve.

43. Dear Lagosians, against this backdrop, let me stress this fact: that there is no reason to panic or be alarmed. The current situation does not mean that things are out of control. It rather reveals the effectiveness of the new testing, tracing and tracking approaches and strategies we are adopting.

44. One clear testimony to our doggedness in combatting this pandemic is in the over 555 patients we have discharged since the Index case.

45. Your support has been inspiring. I thank you all very much for standing by us.

46. Of course, the war is not yet over. Even when we start to see a decline in the number of new cases we must not be lured into the illusion that the worst is over.

47. Between now, and the months ahead, we need to be very cautious in the way we act and attempt to resume life and business. We cannot afford, at any time over the next few months, to make a mess of all the hard work we have done.

48. Dear Lagosians, as I give gratitude to God for this day, and remain truly grateful to all of you, kindly permit me to thank my darling wife, Ibijoke, my children and extended family for their unflinching support and love.

49. I would also thank our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the opportunity to be their flagbearer, for the foundation of a people-focused manifesto, and the constant support and encouragement.

50. My personal gratitude goes to the dogged National Leader of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; our National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; all our Distinguished Senators and Representatives at the National Assembly; as well as the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Babatunde Balogun.

51. My heartfelt gratitude also goes to my brother and co-traveler on the Greater Lagos journey, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and his lovely wife, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat. My appreciation also extends to all my colleagues in the State Executive Council.

52. To our Judiciary, led by the Honorable Justice Kazeem Alogba, thank you for being strong partners in progress.

53. I am equally grateful to the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Mudashiru Obasa and all the esteemed members of the House.

54. I thank all our Local Government Chairmen, Councillors, Party Chairmen at the Local Government, and all the members of our party across the State whose unwavering belief in our ability and commitment has helped keep the party’s flag flying strongly in the State, in the last two decades.

55. Let me also express profound gratitude to the Public Servants who work day and night, often behind the scenes, to translate our lofty vision into practical and visible progress; as well as all our Royal Fathers and all our spiritual leaders, whose wise counsel and prayers have been a steady source of strength.

56. Special thanks also go to the ladies and gentlemen of the Press, you have been extremely supportive in conveying our vision and narratives of a Greater Lagos to the public.

57. May we all live to see and partake in the progress and prosperity of a Greater Lagos.

58. Thank you all for your attention.

God bless Lagos State

God bless Nigeria
