A Contrary Opinion

I disagree with many parts of this write up o...✋
The average Nigerian youth & degree holder is not so lazy, many go to acquire degrees with the mind of setting up a business in their specialised areas, but the country makes this difficult and frustrating...
They have ideas, but can you execute without capital?
There are many youths who cannot actualize their dreams here, the lucky ones are able to escape and go abroad and  the opportunities they have there, cannot be compared to what we have here...it is out of frustration that some degree holders  take those stressful jobs with little pay , some considering the fact that their parents have suffered to see them through school and cannot stress them further to provide capital for business investments...therefore, they take those jobs cos they wish to be financially independent and give their parents some relief...if they approach banks for loan, they don't get it cos many of them cannot come up with the conditions banks will attach to the loan....
Let's talk about our own field sef, some teachers that  I know have authored some books but cannot get it approved for sale....for one reason or the other...but really,  we acknowledge that some of these teachers are Brilliant and have proved over the years that they know their onions but then, what's the bottleneck... ?😁
Many of Nigerian youths are celebrated abroad today, cos they have not been given the opportunity  here to showcase the genius in them....🤷‍♀
Those abroad that are technologically endowed have numerous opportunities to showcase & get funding & backing for their innovations...
Even in the midst of this covid-19, many young microbiologist, cell biologists & other researchers have come up with some indigenous alternatives for treatment but is anybody listening to them ? Just this morning I read that US has decided to support local treatment for covid 19  generated in Madagascar...
Why not Naija...?
Over this one month, a particular TV station has been showcasing our young Nigerian doctors in various fields working abroad and are leading other medical groups in treating patients with covid-19, I feel so proud that these are young Nigerians but then, what could have been their fate if they didn't have the opportunity to jet out...
In our quest for youths acquisition of vocational skills, many have learnt hair dressing , barbing, photography, sewing etc but have closed shops cos there's no regular electricity for them to operate and be productive & so, many have even gone to take menial jobs to survive , so is this to say, the youths are lazy?
Our Naira keeps losing value everyday, is it the fault of Degree holders?
Those sweeping the streets of London & those working in people's homes as cleaners, by the time they bring the dollars & pounds here & change it to Naira, it will be more than Prof's salary...😁😁😁 afterall,  they worked to earn that money, they didn't steal 🤷‍♀
I beg, Prof needs to know that not everybody can sell chips o & not everybody can be a Dangote, not every business is successful too, manyare hanging on cut throat loans ni o..😁...besides, many have been destined to be the likes of Prof. Wole Soyinka ,Chike Obi  Zulu Sofola, Alele William's etc...
What many degree holders need is support and abundant opportunities to put their skills into operation...
In fact, it's not easy to be a Nigerian,  that's why they always say Nigerians can survive anywhere in the world...
God bless Nigeria Youths..😁🙌
